Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish: 10 July 1972) is a Colombian-American actor, television producer, presenter and model. Vergara was the highest-paid actress in American television between 2013 until 2020.Vergara was a star when she began hosting two shows on the Spanish-language TV network Univision in the late 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's debut major acting role in English. The following year, she was featured in Four Brothers (2005), Tyler Perry's Comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009 which earned an ALMA Award nomination). She made her debut as Gloria Delgado–Pritchett on ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. For her role, she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her voice-overs included Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also part of The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was also the most-paid Hollywood actress of 2020[citation neededfor 2020[citation needed]. Since 2020, Vergara has been a judge on America's Got Talent. Vergara was raised in Barranquilla by an Roman Catholic couple.  Her mother, Margarita Vergara de Vergara was a homemaker as was her father. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a rancher of cattle for the meat industry. Vergara was referred to as "Toti" by her siblings, as well as a number of cousins. Vergara was a former student at National University of Colombia in dentistry. She then left after two semesters to pursue opportunities for modeling and show business.
