Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English model, actress, director, and activist. Wright is most famous for her role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She was as the character for 10 years before moving on to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011). Wright has appeared in numerous independent films, including Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films received mixed reviews. She made her stage debut as the lead character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. Following her graduation from the University of the Arts in London in 2012, she began producing short films for her production company BonBonLumiere. Her first project as a director was the coming of age drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012) with David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical appreciation. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both included emotional and landscape. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls, which was premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, comprised three episodes. Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. It is based upon A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She also created music videos for Scarlett Johansson, Pete Yorn and Sophie Lowe. Wright is an ambassador of Greenpeace, Lumos and has been recognized for her environmental advocacy.
